The Second Annual Heartland Triathlon was one for the record books.
The weekend kicked off on Saturday with a great turn out at the Vendor Expo. This was immediately followed by our guest of honor,
Sarah Reinertsen, as she inspired over 400 individuals with her story of courage and strength at the Saturday evening Pasta Bash.
Race day was equally successful with over 400 adult participants. Patrick High shattered the course record by completing the 2007 Heartland Triathlon in just over one hour.
As the final adult competitor crossed the finish line, the gun went off for the inaugural Heartland Triathlon TriKidz race. 93 individuals between the ages of 6 and 14 completed this event.
The entire day was capped off with a post-race bash like no other. Tons of food, a live band and great awards sent everyone home with a real sense of accomplishment.
The entire community is proud of the efforts and
looking forward to the 2008 Heartland Triathlon.
